Got In! — Terms of Use

Welcome to Got In! These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Got In! ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Got In! app, browser extension, or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use Got In!
Got In! is intended for prospective college applicants. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity on your account.
2. Community rules & zero-tolerance for objectionable content
Got In! includes social features — discussions, direct messages, groups, and profiles — where you and other users post content. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior.
- harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates any person;
- is hateful or discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age;
- is sexually explicit, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate;
- is violent, promotes self-harm, or encourages illegal activity;
- is spam, a scam, or impersonates another person; or
- violates anyone's privacy or shares someone else's personal information without consent.
By using the Service you also agree there is no tolerance for abusive users. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion and without notice.
3. Reporting, blocking, and our response commitment
Every user can help keep Got In! safe:
- Report any message, post, or profile using the in-app "Report" control.
- Block any user from their profile to stop all contact and hide their content from you.
We review reports of objectionable content and act on them within 24 hours — removing content and/or ejecting the user who provided it. You can also contact us directly at privacy@got-in.com.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create. By posting it, you grant Got In! a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and represent that you have the rights to share it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access other users' data without authorization, scraping or harvesting data beyond your own application data, interfering with the Service's operation, or using it to violate any law. Use of the Got In! browser extension is limited to importing your own application data, as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Got In! does not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided data or admission outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Got In! is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms from time to time; we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
